Center for Molecular Neurology

CMN in a nutshell

Science director: Rosa Rademakers

The overarching goal of the CMN is to advance our molecular understanding and improve the treatment of complex neurodegenerative diseases affecting the central and peripheral nervous systems. This requires a deeper insight into the genetic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and metabolomic origins of neurodegenerative diseases, as well as fostering the development of effective translational pipelines and effective therapeutic interventions. At the heart of our research lies a patient-centered approach, integrating their perspectives at both conceptual and experimental levels. We firmly believe that a comprehensive exploration of neurodegenerative diseases, from a whole-organism perspective, is indispensable for discovering and developing the most impactful therapeutic solutions.
